There is no time to waste when it comes to tackling climate change. That’s why we’re announcing our plan to achieve net zero emissions by 2050. This ambitious goal will require all of us – individuals, businesses and governments – to work together and take action now.
The good news is that we already have the technology and know-how we need to make this happen. We just need the political will and determination to get started. Here are some of the steps we will take:
1) Increase energy efficiency in homes, businesses and government buildings.
2) Invest in renewable energy sources like solar and wind power;
3) Reduce greenhouse gas emissions from transportation by making electric cars more affordable and expanding public transit;
4) Cut down on waste by recycling more materials, composting food scraps, and using less packaging;
5) Plant trees, restore wetlands and create other green spaces that can help absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
Net zero emissions by 2050 is an achievable goal if everyone works together – but it won’t happen without your help! So please join us in taking action today for a cleaner tomorrow.
