Level up!

It’s a phrase we’ve all heard, and it usually has positive connotations. But what does it actually mean? In the context of video games, leveling up is the process of increasing your character’s power by acquiring experience points and spending them on upgrades. The idea is to make your character stronger so that they can face tougher challenges and eventually defeat the game.

In real life, we don’t have experience points or levels, but there is still something to be gained from leveling up. What we gain depends on what kind of person we are when we start out. If our ambition is small, then leveling up means becoming more ambitious; if our starting point is negative, then levelling up means becoming more positive; if our skills are basic then levelling up means acquiring greater skills etc…. In other words: whatever you want to become in life – you can become! All you need to do is level yourself UP!
