Self search

I search for myself in the unlikeliest of places;

In the bottom of a teacup, in the wrinkles of a smile.

I find myself in the pages of a book;

Or in the notes of a song.

I search for myself in the places I've been;

In the laughter of a child, in the beauty of a rose.

I find myself in the memories of a time gone by;

Or in the dreams of tomorrow.

I search for myself in the people I meet; In the kindness of a stranger, in the love of a friend.

I find myself in the eyes of those who believe in me;

Or in the words of those who inspire me.

I search for myself everywhere;

I find myself in everything;

I am the sum of my parts;

And I am always searching for more.
