The key to happiness

There’s no single answer to the question of what makes people happy. But one thing is for sure: Happiness Is a Choice. You can choose to be happy, regardless of your circumstances.
This doesn’t mean that you have to be happy all the time; everyone has their ups and downs. But it does mean that you have control over your own happiness, and you can choose to focus on your needs rather than on your wants.
When you focus on what makes you happy, rather than what other people think or what society tells you should make you happy, then happiness becomes a lot easier to achieve. So how do you go about doing this? Here are some tips:
1. Identify What Makes You Happy: This might seem like an obvious step, but it’s important nonetheless! Sit down and think about the things that make YOU happy – not what other people tell you should make YOU happy. Once you know what these things are, you can start doing them more often! Maybe it’s spending time with friends and family, going for walks in nature, travel, performing random acts of kindness, reading books, or listening to music. Whatever it is, identifying and makes point of doing it together with other people who make you happy as they will likely share in these activities and also bring happiness into your life.
2. Don't Compare Yourself To Others: Comparing yourself to others isn't helping anyone and it is usually counter productive as they don’t have the same background or set of circumstances as you do. Comparing yourself only serves to drive away your happiness by making you sad or frustrated at these differences. Focus on your own life instead and rejoice in what YOU have achieved rather than what others have accomplished.
3. Take Time For Yourself : It's easy to say that you should take time to yourself but it is actually quite hard to carry out this advice especially when we can be presumed to be workaholics or dependents on the world around us. But if you do, it will allow you to recharge, and your soulfulness to increase, which can effectively improve the quality of your life down the road.
4. Finally, it's important to Understand The Difference Between Wants and Needs: Wants are things that aren't essential for your survival or happiness, while needs are things that are essential for your survival or happiness. It's important to focus on meeting your needs first and foremost, and then work on satisfying your wants. This way, you'll be able to live a happier and more fulfilling life.
